The ‘Internal quality Assurance Cell’ of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala in collaboration with Council for Teacher Education Foundation organized Seven days Virtual National level Capacity Buliding Programme for teachers which was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Arvind, honourable Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala. This programme was organized to train the teachers for integration of Pedagogy and Technology in teaching, learning and research. The presidential address was delivered by Professor (Dr.) R. G. Kothari, Former Vice Chancellor, VNSG University, Surat, GUJARAT, Former Dean, Faculty of Education & Psychology, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, GUJARAT. Dr. Sanjay, Dean, Research formally introduced the chief guest.
College principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed Dr. Arvind and other delegates and said that in this digital era of new technologies the methods and techniques of learning and teaching are transforming and evolving. He also shared some reports of feedback surveys on ‘Online Teaching’ conducted by the college during lockdown.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Arvind in his inaugural address said that technology is a tool to supplement the process of learning and teaching but the presence of teacher is must for developing a clear vision and enlightened future citizens.
In his presidential address Dr. Kothari said that the aim of teaching should be to develop critical thinking, life solving skills, problem solving skills development, good communication skills and prepare them to work as a team. He said that the role of a good teacher is to prepare the thinking human beings and future leaders.
In her keynote address, Dr. Jayashree Shinde, Head, Department of Educational Technology, Director, Teaching Leaning Centre, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai said that we as teachers need to strike a balance between technological advancements and knowledge of a teacher. In his lecture Dr. Parteek Bhatia, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala demonstrated the importance of flip learning and usage of flip learning in teaching.
The vote of thanks was presented by Vice Principal of the college Prof. (Mrs.) Shailendra Sidhu. 460 teachers from 23 states of India registered for this week long programme.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ‘ਇੰਟਰਨਲ ਕੁਆਲਿਟੀ ਇੰਨਸ਼ੋਰੈਸ ਸੈੱਲ’ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਂੌਸਿਲ ਫਾਰ ਟੀਚਰ ਐਂਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੱਤ-ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਵਰਚ{ਅਲ ਨੈੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਲੈਵਲ ਕੈਪਸਿਟੀ ਬਿਲਡਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ.) ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਵੇਂ ਯੁੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ- ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਅਧਿਆਪਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਢੰਗ-ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਜ਼ੀਟਲ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਵ-ਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨੁਕਤਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਡਾ.) ਆਰ. ਜੀ. ਕੋਠਾਰੀ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ, ਵੀ.ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਜੀ. ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਸੂਰਤ, ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਡਾ. ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਰਸਮੀ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਿਆ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡਾ.ਸੰਜੇ, ਡੀਨ ਰਿਸਰਚ, ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸੱਤ-ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਰੂਪ-ਰੇਖਾ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਡਿਜ਼ੀਟਲ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਪੜਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਢੰਗ-ਤਰੀਕੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਬਦਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਰੋਨਾ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਲਾਡ-ਡਾਊਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਪੜਾਈ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਭਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਰਵਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਵਾਈਸ ਚਾਂਸਲਰ ਡਾ.ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਪੜਾਈ ਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ-ਮੁਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਮਹਤੱਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਡਾ. ਕੋਠਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਧਿਆਪਣ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਲੋਚਨਾਤਮਿਕ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਸਿੱਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦਾ ਰੋਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚਣ-ਸਮਝਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸ਼ੈਸਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲ਼ੈਂਡਿੰਡ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਅਧਿਆਪਣ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਡਾ. ਜੈ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਛਿੰਦੇ, ਮੁਖੀ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ਼ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ, ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਲਰਨਿੰਗ ਸੈਂਟਰ, ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਨ.ਡੀ.ਟੀ ਵੂਮੈੱਨ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਮੁੰਮਬਈ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਤੁੰਲਿਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਿਖਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਪੜਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਮਿੱਥੇ ਟੀਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੋ ਸਕੇਗਾ।ਇਸ ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਾ.ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਭਾਟੀਆ, ਐਸੋਸੀਏਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ, ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈੱਟ ਆਫ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਐਂਡ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ, ਥਾਪਰ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਐੱਡ ਟੈਕਨੌਲੌਜੀ ਨੇ ‘ਫਲਿੱਪ ਲਰਨਿੰਗ ਐੱਡ ਡਿਵੈਂਲਪਮੈੱਟ ਆਫ ਮੂਕਸ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਫਲਿੱਪ ਲਰਨਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਲ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਔਖੇ ਤੋਂ ਔਖੇ ਸਿਧਾਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾਨ-ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸ਼ੈਲੇਦਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
